May 14-16, 2004 - Feast of St. Isidore
Canton of Falcon Cree - Blacksburg, SC

The Canton of Falcon Cree invites you to join us in early 16th century Spain
during the reign of Ferdinand and Isabella to celebrate the life and miracles
of Saint Isidore the Farmer.  The day's revelry will culminate in a feast
representing his greatest miracle - the feeding of the masses. In addition to
martial activities there will be a pilgrimage, bocce ball and pell mell, among
other diversions.

Feast: We have gathered together a team of cooks to dazzle and amaze you with
their culinary skills.  Please send dietary restrictions to the autocrat.

Lunch: For those who pre-register before the cut off date we will be providing
a travelers fare lunch.  Additionally, there will be limited quantities
available for sale.

Fighting: There will be heavy and rapier battles as well as target archery.

Arts and Sciences: Competitions include: Items associated with the miracles of
St. Isidore the Laborer; Food subtleties with the theme of Spanish Saints;
Fiber arts 1492 and later. There will also be an Open Display.

Equestrian: We will have equestrian activities. Please contact Lady Gwenhwyfar

Merchants are welcome. Please contact the autocrat to reserve space.

Dance: The Atlantian Dance Academie will host a ball in the evening.

Site: Kings Mountain State Park, Camp York, 1277 Park Rd, Blacksburg, SC,
29702. NO PETS. The site is dry.

Directions: From the SOUTH: Take your best route to I-85 just north of the
SC/NC border. Take Exit #2 (King's Mountain Military Park). Go south (right
turn) on 216 through the Military Park to King's Mountain State Park. Turn
right at the sign marked Group/Organized Camps. ***At the "Y", bear right to
Camp York. Please strictly obey all posted speed limit signs within the Park.
>From the NORTH: Take your best route to I-85 in NC just south of Charlotte.
Take Exit #8 (King's Mountain). At the top of the ramp, turn left. When the
road comes to a fork, bear right. You will stay on this road for about 7 miles
until you see a small field with a split rail fence on the right hand side.
Turn right after the fence into the entrance of King's Mountain State Park
(there is a package goods store on the left of this "T" intersection. Follow
the road through the park to the Living History/Organized Camp sign and turn
left. Follow from *** above.
