Blue Moon
April 24, 2004
Bel Air , Maryland
As the last days of Winter Struggle to hang on, Their Excellencies have
declared a Festival to herald the awakening of Spring. As tradition, Blue
Moon is being held as a day-long Puntathalon - a No-Holds-Barred day of
bawdy songs and stories, dazzling costumes, culinary delights and
spectacular verbal intercourse. The festivities include 6 contests, with 10
categories, plus several non-competitive activites for those who don't enjoy
public display.
Please Note - Due to the nature of the event, parents should consider
whether the event is appropriate for their under age children.
The competitions are as follows:
Contest 1 - Immodest Bodice Contest, with 2 categories - Immodest Bodice
Goddess, and Golden Globes Award.
Contest 2 - The Gentelmen's Codpiece Competition, with 1 category - Most
Spectacular Codpiece.
Contest 3 - The "Come as your Favorite Pun" Contest, with 2 categories -
Historical, and Non-Historical.
Contest 4 - The Bawdic Circle, with 1 category - Best bawdy song, story or
poem.
Contest 5 - Period Food Puns, with 3 categories - Best Pun, Best Visual
Display, and Best Presentation.
Contest 6 - Last Pun Standing - 1 category - a grueling Puntathalon, where
it doesn't stop until there's only 1 person left punning!
Prizes will be awarded during court for all categories. Contestants may
enter as many contests as they wish, but may only have 1 entry per category.
