Good Morning,
The Free Scholars' Charity Tournament is just over one week away and from what I hear the Champions are doing a fine job of collecting for the American Breast Cancer Foundation. I applaud them for their work so far, and ask them to keep it up! I would also encourage everyone to donate to this most noble cause, as every penny counts.
As is the case with tournaments of this nature, several questions have arisen that I hope to answer through this email. See below for Q & A.
If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will also be attending University this weekend if you would like to speak to me then. I thank you all for your efforts on this, and look forward to seeing you at Ymir.

"Who is our Champion?"
-- Good Question! Please contact your Baron and/or Baroness, or the seneshal of your Shire in regards to this matter, as they are to be chosen by them. Also, please remember that the King and Queen and Prince and Princess have Champions entering the tournament as well so I would ask that you consider donating to their entry fees as well. I know that two of their representatives, Gaston du Valmont and Rosalind Delamere, will be attending University this weekend and would be happy to speak to you about this.
"The Brewers Guild would like to send a Champion to the tournament. Can we?"
-- Unfortunately, time and space do not permit us from allowing groups other than the Crowns, Baronies, and Shires from entering a Champion in the tournament this year. As such, I would ask that you please support the Crown, Shire and Baronial Champions instead. It is our hope that if this is a success, we can have an open champions tournament next year.
"How much of the donations are going to the ABCF?"
--All monies raised as the entry fees will be donated the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
"How much do we need to raise to get our champion in?"
-- Currently there is NO minimum set for entry into the tournament. You are encouraged though to raise as much as you can from your populace for this most noble cause.
Remember, every penny counts in the fight against Breast Cancer.
"Cash or Check?"
-- Both are accepted. Please make your check out to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
"When will the tournament occur?"
--Probably immediately after the normal Ymir Tournament, so I would encourage all Champions to be ready to start as soon as the first tournament ends. Card subject to change.
