[MR] Novice Tournament Question

Domenico,
Just because there is only one list and everyone else is fighting sword and
shield, does not mean that you can not fight with a different weapons form,
say your "really cool great sword" for example. You may not win as many
bouts as you would if you fought sword and shield, but you may have more fun
doing something different, and you will probably learn a good deal about
fighting against sword and shield. Both are important!
I has a grand time a couple weeks ago at the Steirbach Investiture fighting
great sword with Sir Vlad, a form that is not the primary form for either of
us. Maybe an idea for a tourney might be an off weapons tourney, meaning
that the fighters must fight a weapons from other than the one that they
normally fight, or the one at which they are authorized but least skilled
at???
