I would like to publicly congratulate the Barony of Storvik, and Baska the Depraved in particular, on doing a fantastic job on the Post Pennsic Dessert Revel.

Storvik has run two major events in the last two months, Novice Tourney in July and PPDR in August, pulling in a record attendance for both events; attendance that was far beyond what had been anticipated.  Storvik is host to an amazing number of events every year; this year they will run 6 events, including an Atlantian University and a Demo on the Mall in DC.  Few Baronies are able to run so many events, year after year, and make each one as good or better than the last.

The Post Pennsic Dessert Revel was very well themed and had continuous activities for both young and old alike.  Varied food and drink were available to all throughout the day, both munchies as well as an excellent Matzo Ball Soup (provided by my own lovely wife, Tirzah MacCrudden).  And desserts!  An exceptional variety of desserts, many period, were provided by the attendees.  Good job all!

This was Baska's first try as an autocrat, I certainly hope it won't be her last.

If you were unable to attend, you missed a fantastic event; I highly recommend you mark next years calendar.

Vivat Storvik!  I am proud to call it my home.
