Dear All,
On September 25th, the Barony of Nottinghill Coill will be
participating in the Union County Horseman Association's Rennaissance Horse
Faire in Union, SC. The Faire is really a flea market/tack swap that will go
on all day that Saturday with people being able to set up tables to sell,
bring horses to sell, buy stuff...the usual flea market atmosphere but with
a theme.
The SCA has been invited to participate as a "demo in personnae" to
help give color to their Rennaissance theme. Arts and Sciences, rapier,
heavy and cavalry are part of the activities planned for the day, as well as
a pre and post demo revel. What a wonderful opportunity for us to play the
personnae that we carefully work on but rarely share!
Because there are so many people at Pensic right now, I am acting as
contact person for the demo, to get a preliminary head count as to who might
be able to come, party, play and support our opportunity for recruitment.
SCA merchants are VERY welcome but would be considered vendors by the Faire
organizers (table fee would apply)
Please drop me a line if you would like to get some more information
and to let me know that you would be interested in spending a weekend
playing yourself!
Your Humble Servant, Baroness Beatrice von Staufen
