2 things:
1) Count Martin, former squire to Duke Anton, is fine. He, family, and friends weathered out the storm in Orlando. The eye passed over late last night. The kids comment was "Gee daddy, Its like in the Wizard of Oz." The adults took a different view. The house suffered little damage. However several people we know did not fair as well. Some had homes completely destroyed.
2)As to Lady Caterine's question of crash space and relief for those SCAdians affected by Charley, the following was posted to the Trimarian list this morn:
As a suggestion, we'll likely need two lists from people in the effected areas, one of immediate needs, and one of what they think they will need to make at least temporary repairs and start getting things back to normal. I would also suggest that once these list are posted to this and other kingdom e-mail lists, that each Shire/Barony set up a central collection point for this stuff, and keep folk updated as to what's been covered and what is still needed, so we don't miss anything.
That will also help those folks who end up transporting items down there to know where to pick up what for transport.
The same type of organization organization of effort would work well here. People in need are people in need. The immediate list would probably include:
Safe drinking water, Ice,
Hand sanitizer, Easy prep food (Non refrigerated)
Help clearing trees if close by. IE If you own a chainsaw and can spare the time.
Thank you all for your concern. Hugs and thanks again forthcoming at coronation.
Count Martin's Mom ( The extremely grateful)
