[MR] Update -- Feast of St. Pyr

Greetings, all!!  I have some updates to the events at St. Pyr's and thought I'd send them on.

We're planning to have a silent auction to benefit the children's programs, courtesy of Her Excellency.  So bring your joyous junque, take a gander at someone else's....who knows?  One man's trash is another man's treasure, so you may end up with some great bargains.

I've also heard from our esteemed Lord Willem de Wytemarsh; don't forget, our Excellencies will be choosing their Baronial A & S Champions at this event!  We also have a couple of other competitions as well, for Reliquaries and Accessories in Period, organized by Lady Anne Balfour, and Lord Thomas Longshanks will be judging the Brewery Competitions.  

Ladies Nastasiia and Almas have been hard at work on the Quest for St. Pyr's Converts, too, and it looks as if it's going to be a blast.  Here are the details:

Children's activities are scheduled to run from 1 to 4:30 pm


*Starting in the Meadow we will be doing

  a.. Bobbing for Apples
  b.. Balloons in the wells
*Head up to the Barn for Dance No 1

*Go to the field between the House and Cottage for

  a.. Create your own Ammo
  b.. Defend against the Picts
*Go to Cottage/Garage for

    a.. Decorating cookies for snack
*Go to the Barn for Dance No 2

*Go to the Buried Cottage for

  a..   Create your own Heraldry
  b..   Astronomy/Coloring
*Do dance No 3 as we work back to Trees outside of gate

  a.. Sand bottles
*Go to Meadow

  a.. St Pyrs Race
  b.. Pinatas


It sounds like it's going to be great fun!  

And this is just a sampling of the goodies you can expect from what promises to be a great event.  Please make your reservations early!  We only have a couple of weeks to go before the event, and we're really looking forward to seeing you there :)
