I CANNOT say enough good things about Gutenberg - great source for primary documents - children's books [a RAINBOW of fairy tale books] - I recently picked up an HTML with 100 pictures -

Another Middle English dictionary is from Project Gutenberg, which is 
available to all:

Project Gutenberg is also a source for a number of works by Dante, 
Chaucer, etc.
