Directions:
>From the south:  Take your best route to I-77 North.  Take exit 82 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. **Proceed less than a mile and turn right onto Messick Rd.  Proceed to the end of Messick Rd., and turn left on center road. Approx. 8 miles later is a BP gas station on the left. 1.4 miles past the BP station, turn right at the first castle on the right on a gravel road.  Signs will be posted. 

>From Highway 421, proceed to intersection with I-77 North, Exit 82, use directions from **.

        Directions for Novice: Challenge of the Phoenix

        SCA signs should be well posted and easily seen from the road..

        Messick Rd.:
        Due to construction the road sign for Messick Rd. is currently down.  It is pretty much the only right turn for a little while and there is what appears to be a demo house for a subdivision on the corner there.   

        Turning into the event site:
        You cannot actually see the castle from the road.  You will see it down the road on the left a few seconds after turning onto the gravel road.  The entry way to the site will be marked with an SCA sign and an Atlantian shield.
