[MR] RE: Coronation Thank you's

since we are passing out thanks to worthy people, i'd
like to put my two cents in for whoever dreamed up the
rent-a-page idea. 

i've been thinking for a while that we needed to make
an effort to involve the children that are too old for
crayons and to young to fight. i think it was working
with Dame Rosine that pointed that out for me.

a rented Anna, who worked with me for at least 3 hours
(that's all she claimed on her page worksheet, but it
might have been closer to 4) Anna said that she was
more used to people asking her to fetch and carry
things in a lot of very short term assignments. Anna's
biggest task during the day was to go to female
friends and aquaintances of mine and give them
messages, along with chocolate. if a 10 year old girl
came up to you and told you that you were beautiful,
and handed you a Hershey's Chocolate Kiss, that was
her. she was embarrassed at first, but quickly got
very good at it. 

it isn't digging ditches, or cleaning the toilet, but
i think it was a very important task. a lot of the
time, the ladies who don't fight sit around the list
field for no better reason than to support those of us
who do. Anna helped me say thank you to quite a few of
them. she, by her actions, made the game a little
better for me, and apparently for a few ladies as
well. 

so my vote for the two coolest people at Coronation is
split between Anna, my rent-a-page, and whoever
dreamed up the rent-a-page idea. i encourage each and
every one of you to look for your chance to
rent-a-page. i will be making a couple of small
surcoats so i can put them in livery. i hope that
those who can, will do the same.
