 The Shire of Cathanar invites our neighbors far and wide to join us in our annual Demo at the N.C. Chili Cookoff Festival on Saturday, October 18, 2003 between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
 The cookoff will be held in the Havelock City Park. We will thrill our visitors with the dashing skills in the art of Rapier, as well as awing them with the awsome power of the Heavy Fighters. Along with our many projects in the finer arts of Arts and Sciences. Heavy Weapon fighting wii depend upon our ability to find a A.C. Marshal. Contact our

   Fees: The Demo and Chili festival are both totally free, though you may wish to purchase samples of the various chili's or to browse at the wares of the various mundane vendors who congregate.
   Site Info: Havelock City Park, Hwy. 70, Havelock N.C. Pets are not permitted, nor is alcohol. Live steel to be secured tightly within a sheath. This is an outdoor site with portable toilets and is only somewhat handicap accessible.   This year will be a post revel at the Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant, meals are Buffet style or to order. It is pay as you go. This is our annual fun feast enjoyed by all at our demo.
 
                                    Directions
  From  the North or West: Take your best route to Hwy. 70 to Havelock, N.C.. The Park will be on the left, easy to recognizable by the Harrier in the park.
  From the East: Take your best route to Hwy 70 through Havelock, N.C. The park is on the right.
   From the South/Southeast: Take your best route to Hwy. 24 towards Morehead City. Go past Broad Creek until you get to a traffic light,there will be a Blimpie/Texaco combo gas station on the left. This is Hibbs Road. Turn left onto Hibbs Rd. and go to the next traffic light. This will be Hwy. 70, turn left on 70. This will take you into Havelock. The Park and Festival will be on your right.
