Greeting unto the citizens of Atlantia,

Many months ago I had a scheduling problem, the Kingdom's calendar, both
online and in the Acorn, does not show events out far enough. Early this
summer when life started filling up my fall schedule I had no information on
events, and therefore no excuse not to fill the weekend with something else,
and now that fall has rolled the only events on my calendar are the ones
which I had first hand knowledge of, which means that there are may great
events that I would like to go to but didn't know about.

I have heard of this issue at least once before on the Mary Rose, so this
time I decided to do something about it on my own. Over the past month or
so I have built an online calendar which allows event autocrats to directly
enter and edit information about their upcoming events far in advance of
what the Acorn or Kingdom web page publishes.

Having spent the last couple of weeks working with the Kingdom Web Minister,
addressing his concerns, comments, and suggestions. I am proud to finally
make public this totally unofficial calendar which will hopefully benefit
many citizens and events in our great Kingdom.

The address to the calendar is as follows: http://calendar.duncarraig.net

It has already been populated with the events currently on the Kingdom Web
Calendar. I will be updating it as I see event announcements coming across
the Merry Rose, or other lists. Autocrats, please feel free to enter an
event of your own, or contact my for the logon information if your event is
already listed so you can update your event's information.

As an added bonus, having notice a large number of Demo announcements on the
Merry Rose, I also setup a duplicate calendar for demos. It is populated
with the Demos that I have first hand knowledge of. If you are going to be
running a demo, please feel free to enter it into the Demo calendar so that
others in Atlantia might know about it and come to support your effort.
There is a notes section for you to tell what the demo is for, directions,
and make any pleas for specific needs/help.

If you have questions, comments, or suggestions about this calendar please
feel free to contact me at Jonathas at DunCarraig.net. The Kingdom Web
Minister already has a copy of the source code for the calendar, so you may
see some of its features popping up on the real Kingdom Calendar in the
future.

Yours In Service,
Lord Jonathas

P.S. Coming soon (maybe) an on-line event registration system (sorry no
online payment allowed). If you have run troll/reservations for larger
events and would be interested in testing this system and giving input
please contact me at Jonathas at DunCarraig.net.
