The Day started out gloomy, rainy and much doubt if the Great Rappahannock
River Duck Race Demo was going to take place on this day. As we arrived to
the site of the event, the rain stopped. The Canton of Sudentur and their
neighbors from Steirbach, Caer Mear, Ponte Alto and Lochmere came out in
full force.

Everyone who came out Saturday, September 13, 2003 to help with the demo,
thank you very much for coming and making the Demo a huge success. Every
one of you made an impact with our visitors. We had over 30 SCA people come
talk to the public about the SCA, A&S, Garb, music, fighting, developing a
Persona, newcomers info, a huge interest in Archery, a children's area where
they had castles to play in, and we had heavy fighters who entertained the
crowds with their fighting skills. Every display area was well received
with visitors all day long, with many stopping to inquire about the SCA. We
set up two large 'carport day shades', one yurt, four day shades and two
period tents. The group also perform three period dances for the crowds
later in the afternoon.

Thank you to:
- Wulfhild (Garb tent)
- Aedan Ui Naill and Sebastian Casparo (Persona tent)
- Colum Maxwell from Stierbach, Alan of Wolfhou, and Artur O'Laegaire
