The Duck Race Demo is still on. It will be a little wet, but we are
expecting a great time. Come on down.

Great Rappahannock River Duck Race Demo
Old Mill Park, Fredericksburg, VA
Saturday, September 13, 2003 (This SATURDAY)
Noon - 3:00 PM

We have the opportunity to once again hold a sizeable demo at
this incredibly well attended and well-advertised event.

We are in need of heavy and rapier fighters along with marshals,
especially those willing to show off their armor and weapons to the crowd.
Those fighters interested can contact Gideon of Thescorre, Acting
Seneschal of Sudentur, 804-448-0345 or hartsquire at netscape.net. We have
plenty of
room for A&S displays, both static and active, to include metal-, leather-
and
woodworking, archery, heraldic displays, garb, calligraphy and illumination,
weaving, spinning, embroidery, and more! We have a space specifically set
aside for all the above as well as a children's tent, a musicians and
singers Tent, and a special Pavilion for the fighters to rest and store
their equipment. We also need people to come down, look spiffy, and be nice
to the great folk here in Fredericksburg.

If you've ever been to a Sudentur demo before, you know that we don't do
anything small. Come share your experience for "Living the Dream" with
others. This demo also brings attention to others who might be interested in
joining the SCA.

We will set up tents, day shades, tables, banners and list fences starting
at 9 AM. The plan is to be done before noon, sit down for a noontime repast.
If you can come in the morning to help set up, we will feed you. The actual
demo time starts around Noon and will end at 3 PM. We can
use as many helpers for the setting up/taking down.
