Please excuse this shameless event plug, but my Pelican is a room-mate of the Society Seneschal and they made me do it...

This is just a friendly reminder that the Barony of Seleone will soon be hosting the first-ever Known World Seneschal's Symposium, in Conjuction with the Kingdom Exchequer's Symposium. Its gonna be held September 19-20th at the Holiday Inn - Airport on Hwy 49 in Gulfport, MS (just South of I-10). That's right folks, fellow SCA-ers from ALL OVER the Known World will be travelling to the Mississippi Gulf Coast for a truly one-of-a-kind event! 

Ah, now I know what you're all thinkin' - you're not a Seneschal or Kingdom Exchequer so why would you wanna be going to this here event... Well, although the Exchequer's meeting Friday night IS just for current Kingdom Exchequer's, the rest of the event is for EVERYONE! That's right, you don't have to be one of them there Seneschal's to attend their classes. Oh, and not all of the classes are even Seneschal related either, I've heard a rumor that there's a class on spinning with a drop spindle and one about what Elizabethan ladies wear under their gowns. Heck, there's even a genuine revel Saturday night!

So come on out, have a good time and meet people who "live the dream" all over the Known World! The hotel is only minutes from local Casinos, white sand beaches, an outlet mall and about an hour from New Orleans and the French Quarter! There should be an event flyer in this month's Kingdom newsletter with all the details.
