[MR] Knitting guild?

Hi,

Just catching up on messages...I see there's a new
knitting guild in Atlantia. Membres may be interested
in knowing that at the Elizabeth I exhibit in
Greenwich (which will, alas, be closing on Sunday),
several mid 16th C knitted items are on display, all
from finds in London, including several men's knitted
caps, a child's sleeveless sweater, mitten and child's
knitted hat. They are featured on page 44 of the
exhibition publication ("Elizabeth: The Exhibition at
the National Maritime Museum" edited by Susan Doran,
Guest curator David Starkey).
