We have returned from the great war but our weapons
and hearts remain keen for combat. If you are of like
mind, then join us at the Knight of the Heart Pas d'
Armes, in the Barony of Lochmere:

Knight of the Heart
A Pas d'Armes and Baronial Investiture
September 26-28, 2003
Barony of Lochmere

Let it be known throughout the land that upon the 27th
day of September of the year of our Lord 2003 A.S.
XXXVIII there shall be a great test of arms in the
wondrous land of the Barony of Lochmere at Elks Camp
Barrett in Crownsville, MD. From the four corners of
the world shall there gather knights most noble and of
great renown, and upon this day Ladies most fair shall
task these Knights and their men to answer how it is
that Love is the greatest gift of all. These great
Defenders shall meet all noble Challengers of Love on
the field of battle. All combatants, to show their
intent, may receive a token from the gentle hand of
the fair Baroness of Lochmere, Mistress Isobel
Bedingfield, in advance or upon the day. Combat shall
be plaisance, that is blows stoutly delivered shall be
verbally acknowledged, and the combat continue to 3
counted blows. Combat shall be conducted with
greatswords, polearms, and sword and shield, either at
the barrier or on the open field.

Let it further be known that ALL who would be
challengers are
welcome, and shall be given as good a welcome as the
Defenders can provide. As this is a Pas d'Armes, all
Challengers and attendees are asked to don their
finest raiment both on and off the field, in the
manner of early 15th century, as it is by prowess and
appearance that fighters shall find honour this day.
Questions concerning tourney gear and Pas
participation can be directed to Mistress Keilyn at
bmorris at iamdigex.net
