As of right now (about 8:30, Sunday 21 Sept.) quite a
bit of Anne Arundel County, MD is still without power.
Feilan and I lost our electricity for about 18 hours
from Thursday evening to Friday afternoon. Our
neighbourhood is back on the grid, but most of the
Broadneck Peninsula (north and east of the city of
Annapolis) is dark. Annapolis proper seems OK, save
for the downtown flooding, and south county also had a
lot of flooding. I know at least one person who had
to leave his home because of the water.
Elsewhere in central Maryland, electricity is still
out. My sister, who lives in Greenbelt (Prince
George's County), lost her power on Thursday and has
been told it might be a week before she gets it back.
My uncle, who lives in Ruxton (Baltimore area) is in
the same boat.
