[MR] improving authenticity

Greetings all!

Hope all is well with you and yours!

If you take a peek at Stefan's Florilegium on the history of the SCA,
you'll see that we've come a loooong way in our levels of authenticity from
the early days.

One of the things I'm doing to improve authenticity is to teach research
skills. (Mundanely, I'm a librarian.) I've taught at both last June's
Atlantian University and Pennsic. You cannot expect the populace to produce
authentic reproductions without having them be able to determine what an
authentic "whatever" is. 

Perhaps if more of the kingdom's librarians taught research skills,
authenticity levels would increase.
