[MR] interesting answers and adopt-a-fighter

I had some interesting answers to my question about
plastic armor. People either used it forever and have
covered it or use it for a year or less and replace it
piece by piece. Interesting that there seemed to be
one extreme or the other.

It's nice to know that there are those who have fought
in plastic forever who already cover it well. I had
no idea that people kept their plastic that long.

I thought I should mention what Nimenfeld did for
resolving the "looking bad" issue. I don't remember
whose idea it was, Eogan or Elspeth's or someone
else's, not mine. Nimenfeld had an "adopt-a-fighter"
program where the sewers picked one particular fighter
to make tabards, etc. for. It really worked out well
as a way to get our new fighters looking good and made
them feel welcome, etc. Plus it didn't drain one
sewer's fabric stash.

I mention it here because I thought people knew about
this all over and I realize after private
conversations they hadn't. It also helped develop a
sense of community. I don't know that many fighters
took up the offer but for the few that did it really
worked.
