Tourney of Silver Chalice XVI
November 7 - 9, 2003
Barony of Hidden Mountain

Gather round, once again, dear friends, for it is time again for the Silver
Chalice Tourney! Yes, the 16th anniversary of the Hidden Mountain tourney for
novices has come around, and it is time for one more person to leave those
ranks behind. So come and help us celebrate this rite of passage.

Activities: There will be the traditional novice tourney and a tourney for
the experienced fighter alike for both heavy and rapier categories. For the
less martially inclined, there will be three A&S competitions for hidden
mundanities, an open category for novices (defined as a field of study practiced less
than 1 year), and a CYA (Cover Your Armor) Competition (sponsored by James of
Middle Aston). Two Classes will be offered: Basic Court Etiquette, and
Basic T- tunic Construction.

Feast: Will there be food, you ask? Why, nothing but the best from Hidden
Mountain! House Drunken Moose will provide a glorious repast sure to please
everyone's palate. Please let the Autocrat know of any dietary concerns at the
time of your reservation. Space is limited, so reserve early!

Site: will be the Harleyville Community Center, 20 Railroad Ave.,
Harleyville, SC 29448. Limited crash space will be available in the hall, but there is
plenty of space for the primitive camper behind the hall. Sorry, no pets or
fires allowed. This is a discretely wet site. Site will open at 5 PM on Friday
and close at noon on Sunday. Merchants are welcome; please direct any questions
about space to the Autocrat.

Cost: On Board is $13, day trip is $7. Children 6-12 will be half price,
under 6 will be the guests of the Barony. Non-members please add $3 to this fee.
Please let us know how many children are included when you make your
reservation. Make all checks out to Barony of Hidden Mountain/SCA, Inc. The only made
reservation is a paid reservation.

Who is the Autocrat? Why, Mistress Aodh Adendra Marland (Brenda Butler)
will be your host for this glorious weekend! Contact her at 1112 Grapevine Rd,
Ridgeville, SC 29472. (843)688-4135. You may also contact her at
