Everyone is affected in the laws based in the SCA, whether you heavy fight or 
not. I myself strive to have the more "Authentic" look while "playing my 
role" while at the events. I do not heavy fight, but I do MOL, and do several 
things for service. When watching the field it looks a lot better when there is 
the more "authentic" Armour out on the field. The East at KC this past month, 
they had fighters in blue plastic Armour, GROSS! 

Atleast if you are going to heavy fight and use Kydex, ABS, or plastic, make 
an attempt to cover it up with cloth, or leather. This in return will make you 
look better on the field, whether you are fighting in melees or single 
combat. 

I cannot say much on "Coleman chairs" as I have one, that I use, and yes, it 
is covered. But until my wooden chair is finished, I have no other choice.
