No. I didn't hear Gorm refusing to do anything unless he had those
plentiful resources, nor demanding that anyone in particular seek
"perfection".
Wouldn't you like to have the independent means to permit you to pursue
your hobby without having to worry about how much you spend in that
pursuit? It's a fine fantasy, so long as you don't let reality paralyze
you into indecision and nothing-doing.
I hear Gorm articulating which aspects of medievilism *he* finds worth
devoting particular attention to. I don't hear him even hinting that
his choices should be anyone else's -- simply that he finds the current
trend to be someone else imposing *their* priorities on him.
If your post didn't omit so much context, this would be obvious (or
so I thought).
