[MR] Knitting Competitions at 12th night

My apology for anyone getting this more than once!

The Keepers of the Clewe - the Knitters Guild of
Atlantia will be sponsoring a series of Knitting
Competitions at Kingdom Twelfth Night!  There will
also be space for display only, but the competitions
are as follows:

(1) A Research paper on any aspect of "Period
Knitting".  The paper needs to be 3-5 pages long in an
accepted research paper format.  The paper needs to be
sent to Lady Mor, the Merry (mka Mary Kearney) by
12/30/03.  It may be sent by e-mail to:
ladymor.1 at netzero.net (special account just for the
papers) or it may be mailed to Mary Kearney, 5711 Six
Forks Rd, #207, Raleigh, NC 27609.  Entrants must
bring a copy  of their document to 12th Night also.

(2) A reproduction of a knitted object from period. 
Documentation is a must. This may be a work in
progress.  Extra points will be awarded if a Heraldic
beast is part of the design - as in keeping with the
Theme for 12th Night.

(3) Any item knitted for personal SCA use.  Use your
imagination!  These items can range from a "can cozy"
to Award Medallions and everything in between.  Again
extra points will be given for the use of "Heraldic
Beasts"

There will also be prizes awarded for "Best in Show"
and "Best Documentation".
