I would have to agree with His Grace on this account.
Though I began my fighting career in plastic armor. I
made a set of plastic armor for probably less than 25
dollars. It didnt take long though to find
replacements piece by piece for very little money.
Addressing the first post, I find dark victory armor
to be hideous, and almost insulting to ask the money
he asks. There isnt even a great deal of care put into
the appearance of his stuff, and little or no attempt
to improve his stuff over time. If one looks to the
really good plastic armor, like EGG, the look is
stunning but theprice is on par with low end metal
armorers. I challenge anyone to send their new
fighters on a budget to ashcraftbaker.com before any
plastic dealers or carwashes for DIY barrel plastic.
The armor they sell is off the shelf one size, but
will not fit any worse than badly done plastic, and
has the bennefit of looking much nicer on the field
and taking quite a beating as well. Having worn
plastic joint protection, I spent a good deal of time
worried that I would take a shot there. Mass is an
important part of the equation, and sadly my plastic
armor wasnt up to the task.

James ap Llywelyn, not an employee of Ashcraft, but a
happy customer who just passed his helm down to a new
fighter.
