Marinus Baronial Investiture

Syr Otto von Schwartskatz
                 and
Mistress Margret Eyverska

      Norfolk, Virginia

The web page flyer for Marinus' Baronial Investiture,
http://marinus.atlantia.sca.org/events/investiture/2003.html,
has been updated with massive amounts of information about the
feast, hotel rates, competitions, and the Schedule.

The day will be jam-packed with activities, beginning as soon
as the site opens at 9am: Her Majesty, Queen Kyneburh, will
meet with the Order of the Sea Stag in the morning. She will
also hold two courts, with Last Baronial Court and Investiture
in the morning and a second Court in the early evening. Master
Thomas Longshanks and Mistress Aelfwynn Gyrthesdohtor will be
the fabulous chefs for our morning repast and our 2-part
feast. We'll have more competitions than you can shake a
stick at (come to think of it, is that one of them? - naaah),
including competitions in which the audience's participation
is vital.

Still more information is yet to come, especially about the
rapier tourney, post-revel, and hotel maps.

You've noticed that I didn't include the heavy tourney in the
above "info still to come" paragraph? And you've also
noticed that the web page doesn't say much about the heavy
tourney? Hmmmm. The web page just calls it a "ribbon
tourney" -- that sure seems suspicious, doesn't it? Doesn't
your imagination conjure all kinds of strange possibilities?
On the other hand, the web page does remind you to bring your
chivalry, so how bad could it be?
