Dear Gentles,

I know that the subtlety competition for Pilgrim's Progress says that items used to create items must have existed in period. To clarify this. You can use your oven, microwave, electric mixer etc. But the item itself must be made from foodstuffs that would have been available to you. You can use cheese, marzipan, gingerbread, candy glass, nuts, cloves and so on. I don't want to see modern candies (Twizzlers or gum drops on your gingerbread house would count as modern). Royal icing will also be acceptable. I don't want to see plastic items or other synthetic modern materials (Besides you can't eat them!)

If you need ideas or advice feel free to email me at dylansmom at cox.net

I Remain,

Lady Lavender de Morten
Barony of Tir-y-Don
