Shard was known to a great many, in both SCA and fandom. His leatherwork was
known far and wide. In fact, the third pouch he ever made is the pouch worn
by the Khan of the Great Horde.

He was taking down posters off of a wall at work, when he fell off the
ladder. Saturday, about ten AM, news was received that he would be taken off
of life support at Noon. The doctors knew there was no chance of recovery.
Shard's last act of selflessness was that he chose to be an organ donor.
