Nonsense! Whereas we need not discuss the particulars of the alleged incident, it is important that we address issues, publicly, so that all may be aware of any attentions that are needed.

In that light, our children participate, but we are still their responsible parents. Where our volunteering and participation may become limited to children's activities, the children, in turn, have to spectate (aka, my own personal cheering section) at my activity for a time so that I may participate where I wish, as well. That is only fair to both parties and permits us to participate as a family. INasmuch, the children learn about adult events at this time and participate in cleanup where help is always needed and the responsibility of all.

The Pages' Academy, for ages 9-14, requires a sponsor. I presume any parent would choose someone they trust to fill this role and when the sponsor accompanies the child at an activity, this gives the parent other opportunities and/or includes the parent so that the child gets a double dose of right kind of attention.

I certainly hope that no parent entrusts his/her child to just anyone. It would be foolish and unfair to the child who is a trusting, loving soul.

Respectfully,

Alexandra,
