As sad as this announcment is, I think we need to keep
in mind how seldom this problem has come up in the SCA
-- not very often. I think the odds are definitely in
our favor. 

Unfortunately, there's almost nowhere that's totally
safe for children, not school, not the Boy Scouts, not
even church. One horrible example is not a reason to
condemn the SCA.
