That's a bit extreme.  Do you not take them to Boy Scouts or the Catholic
Church?  If you are vigilant with your children and not leave them, then you
will have no problems and THEY too can enjoy the event.

The articles are about OVERNIGHT sleepovers at the person in questions home
AFTER a sanctioned event not AT an event.

By not including your child/ren they are missing out on a lot of fun.  My
daughters have been attending events and Renn Faire's since they were in
strollers.

This is why I am reluctant to bring my children to any sca events. Until the
members start to demand back ground checks on the players I will always be
reluctant to bring my children. I trust my barony but that's is about it.
Say  what you want about rights and privacy, if I see you touching a child
don't worry about the law. I an willing to take comments off list.At
