Reminds me of how my cattle dog deals with dog chases...you know, in the dog
park when all the dogs decide to chase one dog in circles? Well, there they
all are running after the chasee and my dog goes to the center, hunkers down
and waits. When the chasee comes around to heading in her direction, she
pouches and either tackles the dog or decides to redirect the chase but let
it continue. She does the same thing with thrown balls....she lets the
others chase it and when the proud catcher is coming back with the ball, she
way-lays them and takes the ball....but see, she is nuts about balls and
will lay on it so no one can take it from her!
