Wow!  thanks!  I've been staring at these pictures for some time now and
didn't think about them in that way. Sometimes it just take different eyes
that don't just want to flat "reproduce" what they see, but change the
design so that it is approperate for the wearer.

Are you just looking for garments & clothing accessories for displaying
the badge?  Do they have to be German?

Some possibilities I can think of would be to have the badge in
embroidery and/or beadwork, especially on the plastron of the gown.
