I agree...in fact, it was not that many years ago that we could take pets to Pennsic.  One of the major reasons that we aren't allowed to anymore is because the Coopers got tired of taking quantities of abandoned animals (dogs, cats, birds, ferrets,etc.) to the local animal shelters after they were abandoned by folk who thought it would look "cool" to walk around Pennsic with an animal.  Sigh.
