My Lord and I were the first houndmasters in Atlantia and currently have
placed about a dozen ex-racers in Southern Atlantia. They are wonderful
dogs!! Unfortunately, we are down to one elderly three-legged greyhound,
who we (of course) do not course any longer. At one point, we had 6
greyhounds (plus 2 rotties)---much bigger house and yard then!
Funny story, much like the Bassett hound....we would course the rotties with
the greyhounds. Dani, who is loveable, but lazy would do it once. The
second time she would stroll towards the end of the course and grab the lure
when it got to her. What she does not have in speed, she makes up for in
brains :)
