This is the more encouraging side of SCA.  I know more
people involved in pet rescue here than anywhere else.
 As a matter of fact I think most of the people in SCA
that own hounds have gotten rescues rather than
purchases.  

Have you heard of anyone that spent the money on a
pure bred dog?  I don't think I've met anyone except
for one friend who was herself a breeder.
