Greetings Fellow Atlantians!
I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for their
wonderful help and generous donations to the waterbearers at Sapphire
Joust. I am endlessly grateful to all of you for your assistance and
support at the event. Without your generosity, waterbearing at the
event would not have been nearly as successful as it was. It is people
like you that help to make this Society the great place that it is.
I was thrilled to receive assistance and donations from many different
sources. I had waterbearers from numerous different baronies/shires,
one newcomer who attended Sapphire Joust as her first event and helped
out almost all day Saturday (and she seemed to have fun doing it - thank
you!), and two children, as well, who were extremely helpful at the end
of the day on Saturday when all of the rest of us were losing our
energy. I received donations of supplies from not only waterbearers but
also merchants, the Pages Academy, chirurgeons, fighters,
spouses/significant others of fighters, and others, as well.
Again, I cannot thank you all enough for your support. Unfortunately, I
was never able to find time to teach a waterbearing class at the event
(despite interest in it) but I will be teaching it at University on June
7, if anyone would like to attend. In addition, if anyone is interested
in learning more about waterbearing, has any questions, needs help with
waterbearing at an event, or would like me to come to your area to teach
a class (schedule and distance permitting) please feel free to contact
me.
Thank you all, again, for everything. The Society would not be what it
is without those, like you, willing to give of themselves in order to
add to everyone's fun and enjoyment. I look forward to seeing all of
you and working with you again.
I also wish to extend my thanks to everyone else who worked so hard in
so many different ways to make the event a success. It's not always
easy to spend an entire event working so that others can enjoy it and I
just want to let you know how much I appreciate it. Thanks!
Yours In Service,
Lady Cicilia Tironi
Barony of Lochmere
Waterbearer in Charge of Sapphire Joust
