You say solanum tuberosum, and I say solanum tuberosum. 

There are always alternate ways to render idiomatic expressions in translation. I do not actually speak it the Latin. Nor am I going to act as a quibbling intermediary with the person who does translations occasionally at my request. If a free service ends in being worth what it costs, who is to complain? 

If you have an alternate translation, please post it, so that the original requestor may have options from which to choose.

Ohhh, I disagree . . . the last part, "let live," should be the infinitive 
(vivere), because if you analyse the expression in English, it actually
comes out, "live and allow to live"

And "fac", as I read it, means "make," so what your rendition is trying to 
say is "Live and cause to live" which I think is quite different from the
intent of the motto.
