Join The Barony of Sacred Stone in the 10th In A Phoenix Eye A&S Competition
on June 14.  Her Excellency, Baroness Kisaiya, has invited the artisans from
the Baronies of Windmasters Hill,
Nottinghill Coill, and Hidden Mountain to join in the competition, with a
prize going to the Barony which manages to win the most individual
competitions.

All artisans are welcome to come and join the competition, including

SITE: Mount Grove Church, Hickory, NC. Site opens at 9 a.m. and closes at
8 p.m. Site is Dry.

A&S:  This is an event devoted to A&S.  We have competitions in over 50
categories, to satisfy the interests and accomplishments of most artisans.

complete list of rules and categories.  There will also be room for artisans
to display their work that they don’t wish to enter into competition.
Guilds are also welcome to display their members’ work.  Let us know to
expect you, so we can be sure to have enough table space.

CLASSES: There will be several classes throughout the day, and a period
encampment competition outside the hall.

FEES: Daytrip $7.00 There is a membership discount of $3.00.  Children 0-15
yrs. are free. Please make checks payable to "Barony of Sacred Stone, SCA
Inc." and mail pre-reservations to the autocrat.

MERCHANTS: Merchants are welcomed, but must setup in period pavilions.
Please direct any questions or concerns to the autocrat

FOOD AND HOTEL: There are many local fast food, ‘fine dining’ and in between
restaurants conveniently located to the site. We will have a hand out with
specific suggestions at troll.  A local hotel is giving us a group rate.  As
these arrangements are finalized, we will post them on the website,

Directions:
>From North: find your best route to I-40, exit #123, near Hickory, North
Carolina.  Take Hwy. 321 south to exit #42. At ramp turn right, and follow
through 3 stoplights; Mount Grove Rd. will be on right. Turn right, and
follow for 1/2 mile. Mount Grove Church is on the right.

>From South: Find your best route to I-85, exit #17, in Gastonia, North
Carolina.  Take Hwy. 321 north to exit #42. At ramp turn left and follow
directions above. There will also be SCA signs.
