I got this from the coordinator of another group I belong to. I was wondering if anyone would be interested. We could talk to the folks at Wal-Mart and Sam's about showing up in garb, having books on medieval topics, etc. It might get them some good attention and get us out there and noticed.

On April 12, Wal-Mart is hosting a "Words Are Your Wheels" Literacy Day
at more than 3,400 Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores. The company is having
authors, songwriters, media personalities and others read and talk about
the importance of reading.
The company is looking for writers, media personalities, and anyone who
is a great reader to participate in this event. There are times available
throughout the day and each reader will only need to be available for
about an hour. Anyone who is interested in being a reader at this event
can sign up by visiting www.literacyday.com or calling 866-379-6502.
