[MR] Requesting Bids for Kingdom Academy of Rapier

Greetings Unto the Kingdom of Atlantia,

The Free Scholars of the Academie d'Espee are
soliciting bids for the
September event, Kingdom Academy of the Rapier. The
primary proposed dates
are  September 13th and 14th, and the secondary dates
are September 20th
and 21st. We will accept bids for both weekends.

The Kingdom Academy of the Rapier (KAR) is a
University-style event
concentrating only on rapier fighting. The first day
will be classes and
practical sessions, and the second day will be a melee
practice. The site
requirements are similar to those for a University,
however KAR will be a
weekend event, not a single-day event. Here are the
current site
requirements for KAR:

*	Cabin space or adequate local hotels
*	Field area for large melee fighting and outdoor
tournaments
*	Class room space for lecture-style classes
*	Gymnasium or other large hall for active fighting
classes
*	Kitchen and serving area

*	We would like to serve lunch at a minimum
*	We would like to serve feast if site facilities
allow

*	Adequate parking for Kingdom event
*	Site must allow for rapier to be fought (sometimes a
concern at
schools)

The Free Scholars of Atlantia will be running the
event, and will provide an
autocrat and other staff members. Additionally they
will be providing
coordination for providing manpower for the event from
within the rapier
community as a whole. It is our hope that this will
result in a minimum of
hassle for the hosting group.

Initial bids will be accepted by email, final bids
must be sent with all
proper signatures to the bid coordinator. This event
will use the Kingdom
Bid form, located in PDF format at:
http://seneschal.atlantia.sca.org/eventform.pdf.

Bids will be reviewed as they come in, and a bid will
be selected by April 6th.
