from Baroness Aileen McDonagh:

I am hosting a silent auction on 3 pieces of early period garb, all proceeds
to go to Karin Howell in memory of Master Finnr.

Item 1: Dark blue linen tunic, based on 10th c pattern in CA (the Frankish,
Merovingian, Viking garb one), with V-neck front & back. Suitable for
slender lady (i.e. modern size 6-8, approx height 5'2"), or if cut shorter,
for young boy (original extant tunic was leather overtunic for man). All
finishes hand-sewn. Will embroider neck for additional negotiable fee.

Item 2: Brown(w/red/purple hints) wool wrap-around apron, with 3inch
embroidered knotwork upper border, red & brown on white linen. Suitable for
slender lady. Will require some assembly by buyer in attaching the
single-loop shoulder straps to personal fit (brooches not included). All
finishes hand-sewn.

Item 3: Blue-green twill silk tube apron, with double-loop straps (brooches
not included). Suitable for very slender lady or young girl without hips.
All finishes hand-sewn.

I will be taking bids (please include your phone # and address) on these
pieces through the end of April, and will post the names of those who are the
most generous. I will then mail the garb to you, and you send the payment to
Karin Howell. Minimum bid $25 per item please. If you wish photos prior to
bidding, please contact me and I will happily email them.

This garb has never been worn, in fact, I just found it in state of
near-completion in my project closet, and this seems an appropriate way to
honor a man whose generous spirit and knowledge of the time period of this
garb has so enriched our Kingdom.
