>Heading down unsure of our land situation, I arrived on site to find it much better than we thought and with my trusty land crew, Lord Robert of Calais, Lady Eslpet, Lord Grindle, Duke Budoin, and Lord Gaston we started to get camp together.
>Thanks also to Henry who spent the better part of Monday morning (after arriving on site having driven straight through from Maryland) pounding in the sheet wall stakes. Thanks to Sir Tash, Sir Vlad and Sir Angus, my "ice crew". Every time I said, "I need to go get ice" the next thing I knew, they appeared with it!
>Thanks to Honora from Steirbach for doing...gee,..pretty much EVERYTHING I asked of her and lots of stuff that I didn't that she just saw needed to be done.
>Thanks to Grace of Stierbach for playing "caterer" with the food at our Atlantian Party! Boy, were you in your element! You made sure that the trays were always full, that poeple kept eating, and you had everything all packed up and back in the cooler. It was great!
>Thanks to Countess Bera and Lord Rainald for having the brainstorm to bring the pine chips to cover the mud so that the party would be much more enjoyable!
>Thanks to Lord Dameth and Baron Nikolai for chasing me around on Friday night as I finally got to kick back, run around all of Gulf Wars and visit my friends. I am impressed that you both kept up :-)!!!
>Thanks to Hidden Mountian for looking awesome and keeping the laughter going all week!!!!
>Thanks to the Hell Hounds for working like dogs (no pun intended)to get me all packed up and ready to go home. You guys are great!
>Thanks to THL Gunther von Drachenburg for doing me a great honor by allowing me to sponsor him again in the Ansteorrian Rose Tournament! For the 2nd year in a row, he has been in the finals of this VERY prestigious tournament! He came in 2nd surpassing the other 70+ entrants! WAY TO GO GUNNY! I have convinced him to sign a 10 year contract :-)!

>I always say Gulf Wars is my favorite war, and there are many reasons for that, but this year, more than ever it gave Atlantians that might never have gotten to know each other otherwise, the chance to hang out and get to know each other. Pennsic is great fun, but we tend to camp with our own Barony, or our friends. As I looked at our camp and saw someone from Windmaster's camped next to someone from Lochmere, next to folks from Hidden Mountain, next to people from Steirbach and then Highland Foorde and Storvik and Sacred Stone... I just though....how cool is this! I think that this is an event for Atlantia to bond as a group, work together and play together. I had so much fun sitting and chatting with a group of ladies one afternoon where the giggles were non-stop (the names will not be mentioned to protect the not-so-innocent, but you know who you are :-)!). I had fun getting to know people that I always say "hi" to, but have never had the chance to sit down and get to know who they are. Atlantia is blessed with some fabulous folks!
>As has been harshly pointed out to us all lately, life is too short! I was thrilled to have the opportunity to get reaquainted with old friends and make some new ones.
>Finally, I would also like to offer my deepest thanks to Their Majesties for giving me the great opportunity to run camp again. It is truly something that I love to do.
>I hope that I have not forgotten anyone....forgive me if I have!
>Thanks again to you all!
