Do you feel as if no one cares about your artistic endeavors? Do you feel
that no one ever comments on your work. Are you unapprenticed or perhaps
apprenticed to someone far away and feel forsaken? Then the Guild of St.
Anthony is for you! St. Anthony is the patron Saint of finding lost things,
and as lost artisans we must ban together to help and support each other.
The sign of our guild is the lily which we display with our entries. Please
notice this lily and give the person displaying this sign fair and honest
and above all, helpful comments. Below you will find the charter of our
(unofficial) guild.
"The Guild of St. Anthony
Patron Saint of finding lost things
We, the lost artisans of Atlantia, the non and forsaken apprentices, do
cleave together to seek assurance and encouragement in our multitudinous and
sundry works. We, the members of this guild, do promise to view each other
as equals and do hereby promise to comment and support each others' work at
every event we attend. Members will display or wear a lily as a symbol or
our guild, and to make ourselves known to other guild members and to all
gentles.
If you are underappreciated and wish to have the encouragement and comfort
of others of your ilk, you may be interested in joining our guild. To
become a member, you must have entered (or displayed ) with documentation in
at least three competitions. If you meet this simple requirement, you may
wear or display the lily symbol and refer to yourself as a lost artisan of
the guild.
We encourage all self-styled members of the guild to in some way display a
lily with their work as an outward sign that they are honestly seeking
support and encouragement from their peers. We also encourage all who see
the sign of the lily to leave comments and support those who display it."
I know some of you may say that we should be doing this already, but in
reality it isn't being done. There are many artisans out there who would
appreciate a simple honest positive comment from anyone. So at the next
event you attend, go visit the A&S area and support the artisans of
Atlantia!
Thank you,
Sine ni Dheaghaidh
(for the members of the guild)
