So, you wanted to get that one more authorization before War? You wanted one more chance to work on Melee Tactics? You wanted to make sure that fix to your right leg holds before you bring it out to the wilds of Aethelmarc for a week? Did you just discover your CPR certification has expired, and you want to Chirurgeon at Pennsic? You think you've run out of chances?

You're wrong!

This coming Saturday, the 26th of July, 2003, in the environs of the incipient Canton of Rivers Point, the Southern Gate to the Barony of Caer Mear (Petersburg, VA) there will be the LAST CHANCE AUTHORIZATION AND MELEE PRACTICE!!!!!

The site opens at 9 AM, with authorizations beginning at 10 AM, and Melees beginning just as soon as everyone is ready to fight. (Melees are planned to go on while authorizations are still ongoing, we have plenty of space to do both).

We will be handling authorizations for Heavy, Combat Archery, and Rapier combat. Marshals are needed to help the authorizations go faster (*especially* Marshals from outside of Caer Mear. If you are a Marshal and able to attend, please notify the autocrat at rottiesrbest2 at aol.com )

In addition, we have made arrangements to be able to offer Red Cross recertification Challenges for those needing to renew their certifications. IN order to guarantee you

The site is a beautiful field, with space for separate fields for all disciplines to fight simultaneously. However, shade is in short supply, so bring your own, please.

The cost is just $5 for everyone over the age of 16 (Non-Members must pay the $3 Non-Member Tax as well). Everyone under 16 is the guest of the Canton. No Children's activities will be provided. Please be prepared to watch your own children. No Pets or Alcohol allowed, please.

Directions: Take your best route to I-95 South. While on I-95 South take Exit 51. Exit 51 will put you onto I-85 South. Follow I-85 South to the Squirrel Level Road Exit. Take the Squirrel Level Road Exit and turn left. From there, follow the signs to Richard Bland College. There will be SCA signs showing you the way from the Squirrel Level Road Exit.

Reservations: Are not necessary, however if you want to let us know you're coming, please contact the autocrat at rottiesrbest2 at aol.com .
