Greetings all....
Novice tourney rapidly approaches. I have had a few inquiries about things
but so far I am not looking at having to many riders present. If anyone is
still interested please get in touch with soon. As of this point, I have a
good possiblity on rental horses but don't have riders to merit more then
the horses I am bringing. If you plan to ride I need to hear from before
the event. Similarly if you are planning on bringing your own horses, the
same is true.
For those of you bringing horses, the site is pretty primitive from a horse
standpoint. It has water and such available and I am going to bring
portable corral stuff that will make enough for 2 horses to have stalls,
or one larger area if that is more preferred. As of this time I only have 2
horses aside from my own coming. I need to know if anyone else is planning
to bring horses and if so what you have to put them in or if I need to make
additional arrangments for your horses.
Lastly, a quick rundown of the schedule, in very rough terms and nothing
that I am currently willing to be held too for equestrian. In the morning,
perhaps as early as 8:30, if there is need, we will do the safety
class. Hopefully, based on who I have heard from so far, we can dispense
with that. During that time, as there will plenty of marshalls and
marshalls in training everyone else can start grooming and tacking up. The
morning hours will include authorizations and authorization upgrades and an
open practice session. Around the noon hour, still be to determined if
before or after we are willing to do a more advanced demonstration of the
games if there is interest. At 1:00 pm we are indeed, as asked, doing a
talk to the pages academy about horses and having a meet and greet for the
pages with one our bullet proof guys that should last about one hour. It
should be interested and I all are invited to check it out or to check out
the rest of the things on site. In the early afternoon, riding will resume
with specific instruction on various weapons forms and tips and such to
improve your horse, abilities at the games, etc. In the late afternoon,
all who wish to participate, provided there are sufficient interest are
welcome to play in a double elemination tourney to their level (if not, we
may throw together a fun quest or something instead).
