[MR] Unfortunate Tidings regarding the Queen's Arms change

Greetings all,

While I'm not a big fan of "yeah, me too!" posts, I think Kwellend-Njal,
Narwhal Herald, hit the nail on the head. I agree with his reasoning that
Laurel is incorrect in the ruling. Additionally, I think that if Her
Majesty thinks the change appropriate, and there is no large segment of the
populace opposed to it (which clearly there is not) then the change should
be passed. Even though the person of 'Her majesty' changes regularly, the
office holder of that position _is_ Queen, and the wishes of the reigning
monarch ought to be the _prime_ (possibly sole) consideration, at least as
far the Queen's arms are concerned. Narwhal rightly notes the Kingdom arms
would be a different kettle of fish entirely.

So, Gorm, is it contemplated that Laurel will be asked to reconsider, citing
the variuos comments posted to the Merry Rose, or are we beating a dead
horse?

regards,

McKenna
