Greetings to all.
There is a demo scheduled for 12 April at Brassfield Elementary School from Noon till 5:00 PM. The school is located in north Raleigh. The focus is From Roanoke Colony (1584) to Jamestown (just post-SCA). The entire school is involved with this project and have been studying this period for most of the school year. Please keep in mind that this demo covers the ages from K-5 and their parents.
I am in need of light fighters (sorry heavy fighters, maybe a future demo), and artisans from the latest of the Elizabethan period. I would especiall like to have someone with knowledge (and equipment) of period games and toys. If you are bringing a dislpay, let me know if you have your own table or will need one from the school.
This is also a good time and way to raise some cash for your group as they are allowing us to sell food and drinks (must be Pepsi products - it's a contract thing) on site.
I need to know well in advance who will be attending and what you will be bringing. If you decide at the last minute to attend, please know that you are welcome, but will not have anything other that blanket space to set up.
Brassfield is already very exicted about this event so please help me by attending and sharing your knowledge.
Thanks,
Julia
