Love to fight? Then Bright Hills' Baronial Birthday:
Anniversary of Amore is an event for you! The date may
be in February, but there's combat aplenty, both
rapier and heavy. We have plans for special indoor
tournaments, should typical February weather make it
necessary.
And archers, don't think we would leave out those who
wield Cupid's weapon of choice! If the weather proves
inclement, we will have a special indoor shoot
featuring rubber band crossbows provided by the Bright
Hills rapier community.
But if you're a lover and not a fighter -- this is
STILL the event for you. You may meet famous
personages and visiting nobles on romantic quests, or
perhaps your own True Love.
Bring your sweetheart, and you can act out the balcony
scene from Romeo and Juliet. (Scripts will be
provided) Come dressed as famous lovers, or as your
favorite form of love, and enter the costume contest.
For Artisans and Bards, we offer prizes for entries on
the themes of love and valentines. For cooks, there
is a competition for aphrodisiacs.
Winners of the day's competitions will participate in
the Battle for the Tower of Love.
And of course, no Bright Hills event would be complete
without fabulous food from our Cooks Guild -- a hearty
lunch and a sumptuous FEAST.
